Tomorrow marks another exciting milestone in my teaching career, Block B practicum orientation. Tons of thoughts are running through my head. I'm anxious to be in and experience yet another classroom environment and I can't wait to meet my cooperating teacher and her 1st grade students at Woodrow Wilson. Hopefully within the next few days I can become familiar with the school, classroom, students, and routines.... I have never been in or taught at the first grade level, so I'm excited to see what it's like.
The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires.

Hi Jennie,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your thoughts about this semester. I cannot believe how fast time has flown. My experience in the schools today was really awkward. My cooperating teacher was not there, so when I'll get to meet her is a mystery. I bet you will have a great experience working with first graders. They are at an incredible stage of learning. Last semester I was at Woodrow in a third grade class and loved every bit of it. Good luck to you!

I can definitely relate to this post!! The orientation made me really anxious too. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back to the schools.
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth I'm really glad we had orientation becuase I was really getting sick of being in the classroom the whole time. Your blog is looking great p.s.
