Planned and presented a 30-minute lesson based around
Eric Carl’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”
to a 2nd grade class at Jefferson Elementary School.
Executed the lesson in three stages:
Read the book to the class then on the white board wrote
down and discussed vocabulary (egg, larva, pupa, adult)
Grouped students and had them organize the stages of a
butterfly by giving them a set of identification cards that
listed the stages name, a description, and had a picture.
Early finishers were allowed to start working on a butterfly color
by number worksheet.
